Jo Haydock Theatre & Training was founded in 2003 by Joanne Haydock, a professional actor who saw first-hand the power of performance in training.
While working extensively with Police, Social Services and in Corporate settings, Jo noticed a gap: many organisations were hesitant to use actors for training, worried it might feel “a bit luvvie.” Instead, their training could feel quite dry and they’d ask colleagues to role-play, which nearly always felt awkward and unconvincing.
Jo knew there was a better way.
Jo set out to prove that professional actors: intelligent, grounded, emotionally tuned-in, could transform training. And that short, bespoke scripted scenarios can energise and enhance any training or conference setting, not by being dramatic, but by being real.
